If you have a 7.3, chances are you've had to replace 1 or several GPR's in your day. They're not very expensive and take a few minutes to swap. However, a known problem with the stock relay is they either go weak or can be weak right out of the box. The solution? Upgrade to a bigger, more reliable GPR. The White Rodgers/Stancor GPR mod has been around for a long time. I've currently had one on my truck for about a year and a half. More power, means your glowplugs are warming completely. As most of you know when a glowplug is just warmed at the tip, over time the swell and fail. Trying to remove them afterwards without breaking them off in the head can be a daunting task. The stock Ford relay runs about 200a at its peak power, the Stancor relay operates at 200a continuous, 600a draw. That's quite an upgrade and supplies all the power your glowplugs could ever need. It comes with a mount, and mounts in the factory location with stock hardware. Hooks up the same as stock, only it faces the fuel bowl instead on vertically. Not sure if the stock engine cover will clear this or not as I've never had one on the truck. If cost is an option, or you can't wait to order one, I've spoken to guys who have done this same mod with a Western Plow Relay as well and achieved good results. Not sure on its specs, but it's pretty common also. Part #'s are provided in the pictures as well as pictures of my truck with it installed for reference.

Thanks, figured I'd share it. It's worked out great for me for a long time now.
