I hate Guns, and would NEVER own one, but that is exactly where I would mount mine.

The 1911 is little cumbersome strapped to the hip on a longer driver, also the one time I had to draw on someone, that location made it super easy to grab without being noticed by the offending party. Brook Green we love our 1911's in this house.

They accept 1911 mags which is why I got it so my ammo and mags are interchangeable. It's small light weight thin yet still fits your hand good.

Mike Hanzuk I'll check it out, I've been looking at the .45 XDS for awhile, just haven't been able to shoot one yet to see if I like it.

Nothing better than a nice 1911. This is one I built off a Springfield Light Weight Operator that I kinda destroyed a few years ago. Long story. Spent a lot of time tweaking this one.

What do you have done to it? I polished the feed ramp, did a flat trigger and shaved the trigger pull down to about 3 pounds on my full size. The RO is completely untouched at this point in time... But I have a .460 Rowland kit for my full size that need to take for a rip one of these days...

Brook Green you weren't kidding when you said it was a long story... But I went through all 16 pages lol. I'm starting to see some transparency between your builds though... Have you been seen for OCD? Lol, great build and story man.

Still need to make a mount for my daily. For now it just gets clipped to the ash tray. Wheel gun usually goes in the door. Nothing fancy.
