This is the first truck I purchased because it had a diesel, the ones I had before this were mostly purchased because of the drive train not the motor. I believe the first was an 82 Chevy crew cab 1 ton with a worn out 6.2. Then at some point I had a decent running 90ish 1 ton with a 6.2. But the '06 2500 HD Crew Cab Chevy in the picture below was the one that brought me down the rabbit hole. I loved that truck, it all the truck I needed at the time, and decent car for commuting to work, Anchorage, etc.

At some point along the way I picked up a bone stock, 450,000 mile 91 W250 and built it into a hunting truck. This is probably the one I'll regret selling for the rest of my life.

This thing was fun for about a minute, I had big plans for turbo charging it, but I gave it away when someone needed a car. Ignore the buggy, its a gaser.

When I sold the 06 Chevy I bought an 03 Dodge Crew Cab DRW. She is my favorite tow rig and daily driver, but it didn't stay stock for long. This is the truck that I kinda cut my teeth on as far as performance modifications go, and its the first vehicle I ever raced at a drag strip.

It always made me nervous to drive the dually, with our 5th wheel, to the track, then race the truck, so we decided to hot rod another 03 Dodge we had picked up a few months after we sold the 91 Dodge. This truck really got me hooked on drag racing! Attachments:

But.... that truck wasnt fast enough. So I sold it and bought an 02 2wd 1500 and tore it apart to build something a little more suitable for drag racing, yet still be able to get me back and forth to work.

You've had some pretty cool rigs bud. I definitely would regret the first gen and actually the rabbit. I regret selling my first gen instead of restoring it, but it's in good hands now. I've been wanting an 80's diesel rabbit for a while now, I think it would be an awesome commuter!!
