Reading Isaac Asimov is like traveling in a time machine and landing in a very distant and very advanced future. Because his worlds are so well constructed that they seem real and if we had the chance to actually see that future, we wouldn't have any surprises. I like Isaac Asimov's in-depth knowledge of science and technology. Every medium, every invention of the future is introduced into the stories in the most believable way possible. In some cases the author also explains how it works and does so with simple words that any lay reader can understand.
Why I chose to read Isaac Asimov I had often Phone Number Data heard about Asimov, but I had never approached his works. It must also be said that the corpus is vast and it is not easy to decide which book to start with. But once I read it I didn't forget it and I decided to continue reading it. I chose Asimov because he reflects my idea of science fiction. It's the kind of science fiction I want to read, even though I've read other kinds over the years that I haven't enjoyed. But I will still read science fiction outside of my canons and tastes. Asimov was a writer and popularizer of science and perhaps that is why his stories are so believable.
In some stories he does not fail to insert a certain dose of humor, of sarcasm, which makes the narrative more personal on the one hand and more fun and compelling on the other. The first book I read by Isaac Asimov The first one I read by Asimov was a first collection of short stories, All the Stories Volume I, about fifty of them, a nice thick volume purchased with the Publishers' Club, which was followed by two other volumes of stories. I was struck by it and so I decided to take the novels of the Foundation saga, among the best science fiction novels I have read. Then there is the series on robots to read and many other novels that made him famous. With Asimov I'm always sure I'll never get bored.
