The stickers aren't too hard to come by, but welcome to 907Diesel and there's a lot to learn, but if you have any questions just ask we are pretty good about getting them answered.

So I have a question already.
I'm trying to trouble shoot something and I can't figure out yet the reason or source of the issue.
The setup: When I try to accelerate hard or put high load on the turbo while just driving the turbo will stutter. what I mean by stutter is that the turbo will spool and boost and then it will dump pressure and act as if I was hitting the rev-limiter on a normal gas engine, but in slow motion. It shouldn't be doing this because I'm simply going up a hill or trying to pass someone on the highway...
before I purchased the truck, the owners took the truck to different strokes and had the ICP sensor and connector changed, PCV breather o-ring installed and a few other non-engine type related parts.
No codes are being thrown by the ECU, so I wonder if the turbo is going bad or the EGR valve is having some issues? I'm not sure how to trouble shoot the issue. The closest thing to a video on youtube I could find that had what i had said it was a bad VGT solenoid...
. the difference I experience is that there is a definite audible whooshing that charged air is being dumped
When the turbo stutters like it does, the exhaust spits out a mix of dark and light colors depending when the turbo has dropped boost or not.
I haven't had much luck searching the web, and I am very sure it's not a pressure leak
I found this video, and it best most closely replicates what I happens to me:
If the Veins are clogged is there a simple fix or does it require a turbo rebuild? Since I bought the truck I have been putting Ford Cetane booster in it, could it be that the engine is cleaning up and clogging the turbo?
any advice?
