Let's get to know eachother a little bit. Post your name and what you do for a living. What pays for your Diesel obsession? You don't have to post where you work, just what field your in. I'm Mike, I'm a Club Officer for 907Diesel. I drive a 95' OBS PowerStroke and I'm a Heavy Equipment Operator and a Pilot Car Driver by trade, but right now I'm trying my hand as a Pneumatic Conveying Technician. I think that's what you call it...I pump products out of railcars and stare at a gauge all day. Lol Attachments:

I used to be an Air Force Crew Chief (or aircraft mechanic) working primarily on U-2 reconnaissance aircraft and A-10 Warthog's. I also got to mess with several others over the 11 years I served before an injury forced me to get out of the service. I am still a fully certified A&P mechanic and have been tempted to go back to planes more than a few times over the last few years.
I now spend my days fixing a Convoy training simulator as a subcontractor for the Army. I worked on a Blackhawk helicopter simulator for a bit, then moved to the one I work now called an RVTT. Gotta pay for my Diesel habits somehow.
My list of Diesels I have owned is a bit long, but here it goes.
85 K10 Suburban 6.2 700R4, was a gasser, got the drivetrain to swap cheap and drove it until lost oil pressure and spun a bearing. 91 V1500 Suburban 6.2 700R4. Rebuilt the motor at 275K miles, made it almost 10K before it spun a bearing while pulling a trailer way over it's rated capacity. Whoops 97 K1500 Suburban 6.5TD 4L80, 240K miles and ran strong, sold it because Diesel was over $5 a gallon in California and I couldn't afford to drive it anymore. 86 K2500 GMC Suburban Turbo 400, put 36" tires on it without a lift, offroaded it until I parted it out for the K-5 that replaced it. 84 K-5 Blazer, 6.2, SM465, Rockwell T-221 T-case, 1-tons, 36" tires and a few other goodies, still have this one. 99 K2500 Suburban 6.5TD 4L80 4.10 gears and 33" A/T's. Part of me wishes I kept this rig. Was powerful, started easy, did everything I ever asked of it. But wanted t pickup as I hated hauling stuff in the back or pulling a trailer to handle things that stunk. 05 K2500HD Chevy LLY, 5-speed Allison, Daily driver and tow rig. Was a former slope truck but it worked great and was ultra efficient and reliable. A small car pulled out in front of it and messed the frame up bad enough to total it out. 82 K20 Chevy 6.2 SM465, was my business plow for 18 months before I upgraded to something bigger. Great old beast that didn't care if I let it sit for four months. 04 Dodge 3500 SRW Cummins, Still working out the kinks, I miss my Chevy, but it's not a bad DD/Tow Rig/Plow truck. Not a fan of it's 48RE transmission though.

I'm Eric and I'm an aircraft mechanic of 7 years. I tinker with cars, sleds, and anything else mechanical in my off time. I drive an 08 cummins 6 speed, and 88 jeep cherokee, a 78 f250 custom, an 84 bronco (fullsize), and also have a 99 dodge ram sport.

I'm Jared and I just recently finished school with a BS in Natural Resource Management concentration in Forestry. Was a tree cutter for 7 seasons. I recently moved to Kodiak and I am working in soil and water conservation particularly focusing on the control and eradication of invasive species.
The more I drive my truck the more in demand I make myself as a natural resource manager HAH!
I drive a 99 7.3 with a custom flatbed made by a friend of mine Andrew in Fairbanks. I have just about finished her off and on to my next, more unique, project my '91 Subaru Justy. Haters gonna hate but I can put my project car on my flatbed and I'm into that.

Jack here. I've had a career in public safety as a medic/ff/rescue you from whatever weird place you got yourself stuck lol. Been called by USCG to dive, AST to ride sleds to way back for injured parties when helo's couldn't fly and more than one long hike. Been making a living the last few years all around Alaska providing similar services to the private sector. Never a dull moment. Currently using my '03 F350 CCLB to make a long commute to and from work. Hope to put some money into her to get it riding and driving a little better. Edit:added pic

I'm Mike, currently we only have one oil burner in the driveway as I recently sold my Cummins. My wife's (Jeanine) 09 LMM Dmax. Currently I work at an auto dealer in anchorage. I am in the process of transitioning out of that though as me and the wife are transitioning in to financial services... So going from getting people in to more debt to actually showing them how to get out of debt (haha).

I'm michael. Most call me bigmike. I'm a heavy equipment operator by trade, new to the diesel world. Had to have one when I bought a 05 cat 277b skid steer. Did a couple side jobs and was tired of someone else making money for transporting it. I ended up with a 05 ram 3500. Plans are to fabricate a custom flatbed and front bumper, along with swapping out the auto to a manual. When I find a donor truck to do so.

My name is Jake, I'm the Sergeant at Arms for 907Diesel. I'm also a Marine Corps/OEF veteran currently finishing my second degree in environmental sciences. I'm an electrician by trade and held a journeyman-ship in Massachusetts before joining the MC. I bought my 08 6.4 F-250 in San Diego after a 3 year stint in the pacific and drove it all the way to Massachusetts then up here to Alaska about a year and half ago.

My name is geoff I am the treasurer for 907diesel. I am prior air force active duty for 6 years, was a sheetmetal mechanic and painter. Then joined the reserves for a year and now moving on to a civil service position doing sheetmetal, painting and composites on C-17 and E-3 hopefully. I have gone through 6 trucks in the last 6 years and now have ended up with my last truck (knock on wood). I love to go fast and lots of power. Been in alaska since January 2010 and moved away for 3 months to florida after getting out of the military. Florida sucks so moved back to AK.

I'm chase I've got an 06 duramax originally from Wyoming, princess tours brought me up this way to work on rail cars,I'm currently a technician at Kenworth in Fairbanks . I Went to school at WyoTech studying heavy and light duty diesel, my diesel fleet has included a 01,02,05 and current 06 duramax. An 84 suburban with a 6.2 and an 79 olds 98 with the 5.7 diesel

Dusty here. I'm 21, lived in AK for 15 years. I am an equipment operator do somewhat technical things with (occasionally) crappy equipment in a usually crappy environent. I love my family, I love my God, I love my country and I love my Diesels! Ive owned a 7.3IDI, 7.3, 6.0 and a 6.4 powerstroke. And a 98 cummins.

My name is Shane. I have been working in the oilfield since 2004. currently I am working as a welding inspector, prior to my current job I have been a helper, fitter, structural welder and a pipe welder. I can weld using most common processes (tig up/down hill stick, and wire). I am a OIF Veteran, I was active duty in the Marine Corps 99-03. right after I returned from Iraq I bought my first Diesel a 2001 Ram 2500. I still haven't been able to make it to a meet yet due to my work schedule but hope to catch one soon!

I dive a 2006 Isuzu in the winter time and race cars in the summer
Brittany Pearson is my female that the law says I am bonded to. She drives a 2012 Isuzu in the winter time and a race cadillac in the summer.

My name is Tony i live in NP and have a 09 Duramax. First Diesel truck and Just retired from the ARMY. I am here to stay in ALASKA I'm originally from Missouri. Im also a jeep fanatic I have a 200 GC with a 6 inch lift and Long Arm suspension with a V8 . And a 94 Wrangler with 4 inch lift and full cage with Hydro winch up front and Locked at both ends. Couldn't make the past TWO meet and greets in Fairbanks cause of being military SO hopefully next ones I will be able to be there.

Hey, I'm Roland. I live in Fairbanks, just moved up from Colorado about a week or so back. I'm a parts swaper for the Army lol. Picked up my first diesel about a year back, it's a 2001 Silverado 2500hd. Had 118xxx miles when I bought it, now looking at 118xxx ish. I've got dsp5 with efi, 30% over injectors, airdog 100, stage 5 Rexmax trans with tripple disc torque converter amd ATS flex plat and 285s on stock rims, plan to upgrade the turbo as soon as I have the money. Daily driver and tow rig. Need to replace fpr, considering swapping with an lbz. In the mean time, attempting to talk my wife into crossing over to a diesel, but progress is slow. Would really like to make it to meet the crew, but unsure if work schedule will alow that very often.

I'm Kyle, I work as an API inspector for a oil refining and distribution company. I drive an '01 Duramax and a '55 f100. My first diesel was a 1982 6.2 chevy that I got from my dad way back in the day. My current project is converting a '69 crew cab power wagon over to a '92 chassis with a first gen cummins. My name is Dusty. I bought my first diesel 2000 Ram 2500 5.9 24V in 2008 when I went back full time to the Oil industry. I was a journeyman mason/concrete finisher before that. I have been on the north slope since '08. I swapped my Cummins for my 2012 Duramax in 2013. I don't get to drive it as much as I like, and I am slowly getting what I want on the truck over time. Been on the Kenai since '92.

Name is John. Born and raised in Fairbanks and lived here for all but 6 years (4 in Anchorage and 2 in Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN...GO WILD!). Just got into the diesel game with my '01 7.3 F350 (see pic to right) in May. So far I have loved it and am looking forward to dumping more of my hard earned dollars into it making it just how I want.
What pays the bills for me is my job as a land surveyor, been doing it for 5 years and really enjoy it! Also love snowmachining, hunting and anything hockey related. Looking forward to getting to a meet one of these days, but with 2 under 2 at home, I have kinda been stuck there when not working.
